Marian Madonia

Marian started her business career in the banking industry in the early 80’s.  She started at the bottom as a part-time teller in retail banking.  Within 4 years, she became the Director of Corporate Training for a large savings and loan in Washington, DC.  Besides managing the training function, she taught seminars in management, sales, customer service, communication, and time management. 

From 1991 to 1996, she worked for a large Washington, DC based association, the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association.  She had two roles with the association.  She managed 10 annual conferences on employee benefits and taught Financial Planning Seminars across the United States to employees and their spouses of the member organizations.  

In 1996, Marian moved to a 4000-acre farm in Saskatchewan, Canada.  Within 3 months of moving to Canada, she began a training and consulting company.  She returned to the United States in 1997 and now locates her business, Madonia Communications Int'l, in Kansas City, Missouri. 

She is passionate about helping others to understand the dynamic of effective communication.  She is known for her ability to look at the adversity in life and find the humor in it.  Humor is her key to resilience.  She helps businesses improve staff productivity by offering training seminars and keynote speeches on, Leadership & Management, Customer Service, Communication Skills and Maintaining a Positive Attitude & Motivation during Adversity. 

Marian majored in Business Administration at Averett College and achieved her Training Specialist Certificate from Georgetown University.  She is a member of the National Speakers Association and two of its Chapters:  Kansas City and St. Louis. 

Marian has now been speaking and training for over 17 years.  She is co-author of the book  Fantastic Customer Service Inside & Out.  Her clients include:  Mail Boxes Etc., the Indiana State Government, Human Resources Canada, and the Archdiocese of Detroit.
