Melanie Mills

Melanie has been active
in the field of education since 1985. She has a Bachelor of Science
Education from Colorado State University, Fort Collins and a Master of
Arts Degree in Education from the University of Northern Colorado,
Greeley.
Her previous experience
includes educator and coach for Windsor public schools and workshop
leader for the Colorado Department of Education. She was named
teacher of the year in 1989.
In 1992 Melanie turned
her considerable talents to the business world. She founded Higher
Ground, Inc., a training company which provides human resource
development services through workshops and seminars. Her clients have
included Motorola, American Express, US West, Apple Computer and
Hewlett-Packard. In 1999 Melanie earned the designation of Certified
Speaking Professional which is held by less that 7% of the members of
the International Speaking Federation.
Her effectiveness as a
program speaker is due, in large part, to the rapport she establishes
with participants. She has an exceptional capability to create
positive group interaction and successful learning experiences. Her
training style is one of high energy that focuses on application of
the materials being taught.
