Ed Tate
is a speaker, trainer, and
facilitator. As a speaker, he is among the best in the world! Out of
175,000 members from 70 countries, Ed won the coveted Toastmasters
International 2000 World Championship of Public Speaking. He is
the first champion of the new millennium, century, decade, and year.
There won't be another one like him for a thousand years!
This
international keynote speaker has earned a reputation as the "speaker
who energizes, educates, and
entertains." Ed works with organizations in transition and
understands what people are going through when it comes to change. He
got his start in the industry that invented Internet Time the
computer business. For fourteen years he was a successful National
Account Executive. By working with your organization, he will help
your people get past the fear of change. From "get past it" to "get on
with it..." FASTER. He is a professional member of the National (NSA)
& Colorado (CSA) Speaker's Associations.
Ed is a
former trainer for CareerTrack, one of the world's largest public
seminar companies. Also, he is a former training executive of a
3000-employee corporation. Ed has designed courses and led seminars in
Change, Overcoming Negativity, Leadership, Management, Sales, Team
Building, Effective Communication, Customer Service, and Stress
Management. In 2001, Ed led a transition team to merge two
100-year-old rivals: The Rocky Mountain News and the Denver Post.
A partial
list of his delighted clients include Verizon Wireless, Johnson &
Johnson, General Electric, State Farm Insurance, State of Michigan,
U.S. Postal Service, and Dell Computer.
Ed uses
stories and interaction to illustrate universal truths about
leadership, coping with change, and dealing with people. He developed
his unique story-telling style while working his way through college
as a disc jockey. While going to college at the University of
Illinois, he met his wife, Catherine. They live in Centennial,
Colorado, with their 15-year-old son David (who just got his driving
permit! Look out world!).
